Description
The Florida PTAC at UWF offers “SBA Mentor-Protégé Connection Event 2019” on Wednesday, May 8, from 11:30am – 5:00pm. Join potential mentors, small businesses, Federal Prime Contractors, Federal Agency representatives, Resource Partners, the SBA Procurement Center Representative, the North Florida SBA Staff, and the Florida PTAC at UWF for education and Mentor-Connection opportunities. Through cooperative meetings with an array of firms, SBA North Florida is creating a local database of potential mentors who are interested in meeting with small businesses to discuss the possibilities of establishing Mentor-Protege (MP) relationships. This database of potential mentors will ONLY be made available to those businesses that are in-attendance at this event. Priority placement will be given to companies located in the SBA North Florida District service area. The benefits of attending this conference are many. Firms that are in the developmental stage (years 1-4) of the 8(a) Business Development program are strongly encouraged to attend this event! However, this event is open to ONLY small businesses registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and actively pursuing federal contract opportunities. No fee, but pre-registration is required. If you are interested in becoming a potential mentor or would like more information about this event, please contact Procurement Specialist John DiGiacomo at jdigiacomo@uwf.edu
